Here’s a more positive post compared to the last, where I recommend a fantastic place to arrange a party, take the little ones for a meal or just take a stroll through…
It was really pleasant to come across the children’s seating zone at Oman Avenues Mall a few weeks back. I’m not sure if it is new, but this was the first I came to know of it.
We had just finished stuffing ourselves for our anniversary dinner at our all-time favourite restaurant (Barbeque Nation, table grill and buffet spread, OAM, 3rd Floor – HIGHLY recommended), and were taking the escalators, making our way back downstairs, when we spotted a Hulk figure on the second floor. Intrigued, we wandered towards that direction and discovered more characters, including Spiderman, Captain America and Iron Man, dotted along the section of the food court dedicated to children. Together with the choo-choo train seating, bright colours and cartoon images, there is a really fun atmosphere created in this ‘kidzone’.

And best of all, we got to see the one and only…Elsa! This was great, since CB is currently experiencing the phase of life most little girls in her generation do: where she sings Frozen songs all day long and has renamed herself Elsa (she refuses to answer to any other name). We even managed to convince Elsa CB that we were in Disneyland, so that’s ticked off the list now! Just joking 😛 We’ll visit one day, hopefully.

Warning (if your child is anything like mine): There is a balloon stand nearby, so if you happen to visit in the later hours after this has closed, as we did, make sure your child does not notice this stall. CB managed to spot it and since we couldn’t make a purchase, out came the tantrum..she was ready to cry all the way back home, until we managed to divert her attention with a toy from the confectionary aisle of Lulu. If you are a parent, you will understand sometimes this is the only way!

Hopefully when things are better, we will all be able enjoy this place properly. Until then, you can always pass by and check it out during the less busier times.
