I had made this video a while back during lockdown when we were unable to go to the beach despite being able to see the sea from our window, with the beach being a stone’s throw away from us (well, give or take a few miles). If you have experienced life in Muscat, you will know that beach days are a very regular part of life here, so we were missing it very much.

After I realised that there was no point in complaining about it, and that there are SO many other, bigger blessings in life, we got creative at home and decided to make a Big Art Attack and put together our own beach indoors!

We used:
– A blue bedsheet (sea)
– A yellow scarf (sand)
– Some seashells we had collected over the years
– Our beach toys

It literally took 5 minutes to set up and after CB and I had changed into our beach outfits we were ready for a relaxing day at the beach in our living room!

I do hope it’s not so relevant now, and that we all get to enjoy happy days at the beach, for real, but just in case you don’t feel like stepping out or it’s a rainy day – perhaps this could be a fun alternative.
