We came across a restaurant with a really great play area the other day and it got me thinking how such a simple idea can make a world of difference to an eating-out experience for parents (and the little ones too of course).

If you are a parent you will know all too well the struggle of enjoying a meal and keeping your child happy at the same time. So I think a play area is a brilliant idea and more restaurants need to include them.

I did some asking around on social media to find out about other restaurants across Muscat with play areas and compiled this list. It turns out there are a fair few and Cutie Baby and I are excited to try them out soon.

Penny’s Cafe

Offers a wide menu including hot drinks, fresh juices, cake, sandwiches and more. A kids menu is available too. It is known by locals for its colourful decor which is complemented by comfortable seating and a play corner.

This place I can actually vouch for personally, as it is the only one on the list I have visited so far. As well as offering comfort food, this pizza place includes a spacious soft play area for children with an activity table, slides, horse rockers, cartoons on television and more.
