Today’s post shall be a short one on my discovery of feeding rooms in my local malls in Muscat. Even though I have breastfed with a cover in public here many times and have experienced no problems, I was still pleasantly surprised to find that this service is available. In the past, as well as feeding with a cover, I have sat in prayer rooms to feed Cutie Baby, just to be able to sit comfortably. These new rooms I have chanced upon not only offer privacy but also comfortable armchairs! There are probably feeding rooms in other malls across Muscat too, but here are the two I have found them in:

Muscat Grand Mall
Location: Mezzanine floor, enter through baby changing room next to prayer rooms
I stumbled upon this single feeding room by accident when I went to use the baby changing facilities. The room can only be accessed through a door connected to the changing room and contains one big armchair.

Oman Avenues Mall
Location: First floor, corner next to Bon Bon Coffee House, follow directions to baby changing room, enter on the right before female prayer room
This new section is a part of ongoing renovations to OAM. Unlike MGM, the feeding room here offers multiple curtained feeding cubicles with an armchair in each, opposite a baby changing counter. The room has dazzling mirrored design with pictures of other cutie babies on the wall! I do think the cubicles could have been made slightly bigger though, to accommodate bags and space to move around.
